一丸ファルコス株式会社は、2018年5月16日（水）～19日（土）の4日間、フロリダ州オーランドにて開催された「第7回 国際研究皮膚科学会議（IID 2018）」において、下記の研究成果を発表いたしました。
題名（研究テーマ）
「Expression and regulation of Glycoprotein Non-melanoma B/Osteoactivin (GPNMB) in normal human epidermal keratinocytes」
（正常ヒト表皮ケラチノサイトにおけるグリコプロテイン非メラノーマB / Osteoactivin（GPNMB）の発現と調節）
発表要旨
GPNMB is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is homologous to melanocyte pMEL17 and is located on the plasma membrane or on the membrane of the cytoplasmic vesicle containing melanosome.It has functions (eg cellular adhesion, cell proliferation and differentiation, melanosome structure, immunosuppression and neuroprotection), represented by various cell types (eg melanocytes, osteoblasts, dendritic cells and cancer cells etc.) .
Melanocyte GPNMB regulates pigmentation, however, it is reported to contribute its expression to RGD-dependent adhesions in keratinocytes and the role in normal human epidermal keratinocytes (NHEK) is not well understood It was.
We confirmed the expression of GPNMB in NHEK by immunostaining, western blot and PCR.
